Mark Goodwin

Mark has 40 years senior experience in corporate and institutional financial services working for major international banks. During this time he held senior positions managing trading operations and is a trained technical analyst amongst other things. 

Mark advised and workied with multinationals, including British Telecom, ICI, BP, Petrobras plus some Central Banks, including a middle eastern government assisting in trading strategies.  

More recently Mark has successfully established and built two wealth management businesses dealing predominately with High Net Worth individuals and Corporates focusing largely in the FinTech, alternative investments space,  Media Technology, and Commodities along with more traditional assets.

He is an authorised and regulated individual under the Financial Conduct Authority as is his financial advisory company.  

Member of CII/PFS, FCA regulated and Authorised Independent Financial Adviser & Certified member of EPFA European Financial Planning Association.

Michael, as one of the co founders of Berkeley House Capital, brings a wealth of Board level experience and knowledge from his time within major financial services and global consulting 

Organisations, where he has advised on subjects ranging from strategy, start ups through merger acquisition and transformational change.   

Clients and partners include:  BNP Paribas, Warburgs, RBS, American Express, Barclays, HBoS, EC Harris, Sama Dubai, Essencia Homes, amongst others,  

Central to his experience has been identifying opportunities for enhancing financial performance and solutions to aid the development of major social and environmentally beneficial projects.

It is this experience combined with an excellent academic and professional background that has helped guide the business to date.

Martyn Thornton
Director

With over 30 years of senior commercial experience gained from the Hi Tech private equity and start up markets he has a wide ranging knowledge of strategic development, fund raising and portfolio management. His career includes the development and sale of his own business focused on the Hi Tech private equity markets and the establishment of several online businesses including the successful Chairman’s Network.

Martyn still acts as an Entrepreneur mentor advising new technology businesses and business leaders in start-ups, fund raising and business strategy.

Most recently Martyn has been focused on introducing innovative wealth consulting programmes into the Berkeley House portfolio and is now recognized as an expert in capital market transactions and the use of financial technology for wealth enhancement.

This extensive corporate expertise has helped push Berkeley House firmly into the Fin Tech markets where his knowledge, contacts and relationship skills have rapidly helped develop new product opportunities and simplified processes.
